We are looking for the best short film about landscapes and resources.
What does sustainability mean to me? Why is diversity important? How does societies’ use of the environment impact resources? What is the future of natural resources?
As part of the Wissenschaftsjahr 2012 the Institute of Landscape Ecology and Resources Management of the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen awards the best interesting and thrilling short film!

Anybody! Whether scholars or students, youth groups, experienced designers or web developers will be asked to ponder challenges facing our environment including resources use and sustainability. Individuals or teams - only one submission per person or group is allowed.
The competition is open to videos that focus on the environment including natural resources use and sustainability. Submissions that fail to or do not address the aforementioned topics will be disqualified. The jury is interested in current production techniques and concepts with original ideas, personal perspectives and unique stories.
Be it hand drawn, filmed with a Trickbox or produced on a computer, in 2D, 3D, or as Flash, the adopted video production technology is irrelevant. What matters and can play a decisive role is the storyline and presentation style. Motion pictures and documentaries will be considered, as well as computer-generated short films, video clips, music videos or smartphone movies. If the language is important in your movie, then please only in German or English (subtitles are also possible).
Contributions must not be older than a year at the time of submission. Maximum duration is limited to 5 minutes.
Submissions of other contests awarded short films will not be considered for fairness reasons.
The first three contestants will be awarded
Besides the first three winners, additional prizes will be handed out to unique contributions.
